Former Evolent exec also led Silvercare
A veteran executive of Evolent Health and Silvercare Solutions, among others, has been named COO of pain management and opioid data firm axialHealthcare.
Frazer Buntin comes to axialHealthcare after working as COO of local value-based manager Episode Solutions for about half a year. Before that, he spent nearly six years at population health manager Evolent, most recently as president of value-based services, and was CEO of Silvercare for more than four years starting in 2009. At axialHealthcare, he will oversee all operations, account management and information technology work.

Word of Buntin’s arrival comes a few months after axialHealthcare CEO Carter Paine and his team announced they had closed on a $15 million funding round and hired Chief Medical Officer Dirk Wales. That funding is helping the company refine its services to focus on a care coordination platform that connects patients dealing with substance use disorder with treatment, recovery specialists and community resources.
