axialHealthcare is seeking an experienced, healthcare analyst who can provide enterprise-wide consultative analytical expertise. This is a senior individual-contributor role requiring strong business acumen, analytical expertise, customer consultation, thought leadership, and an ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with and advise customer leadership teams, both internal and external, to understand needs and develop/execute analytical strategies to support business objectives
  • Demonstrated experience using analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
  • Develop operational, clinical, and financial models in support of business objectives and related hypotheses
  • Build audience-appropriate results-based narratives and visualizations that provide critical context around results, identify unique opportunities, and promote our value proposition
  • Analyze operational, clinical, medical/pharmacy claims and other pertinent data sets to identify trends, pinpoint issues/areas for improvement, and recommend solutions & alternatives
  • Summarize and synthesize data and information from multiple sources, interpret and translate findings into meaningful insights and actionable results

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Finance, Economics or relevant field
  • 4+ years of experience working as an analyst in the healthcare industry (Managed Care, PBM, BPCI, etc.)
  • Strong healthcare business acumen (Healthcare, Economic, Clinical, Ops, etc.) first with experience with plans/providers
  • Expertise in healthcare data and coding practices that can be applied for appropriate results interpretation
  • Ability to develop intimate knowledge of customer relationships/needs/nuances that can be leveraged in analytical value delivery
  • Proven experience in developing/presenting meaningful, audience-appropriate analytical narratives that promote customer value; a keen ability to relate analytical findings to relevant business drivers
  • Experience with BI Toolsets and multiple SQL dialects preferred
  • Advanced statistical analytic skills preferred
  • Experience working with large data repositories and/or relational databases
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage tight deadlines
  • Understand the nuance in data between various lines of business, benefit plan designs, and provider reimbursement structures
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in both technology and business environments
  • Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
