NASHVILLE, Tenn. axialHealthcare, a care optimization company focused on managing substance use and social determinants of health issues for patients, providers, and health plan partners, today announced the appointment of Adam Dunning as Chief Analytics Officer to shape and drive the company’s market differentiating insights, intelligence, and intellectual property.
“Adam is a high-quality addition to our team, and his deep knowledge of analytics, medical economics, data, and data science will support our continued momentum as a transformative business within the complicated, opaque substance use space,” said Carter Paine, Chief Executive Officer. “Analytics serves as the foundation of our comprehensive solution, and I’m thrilled to have Adam onboard to lead this effort.”
Dunning has extensive experience in healthcare data analytics, most recently serving as vice president of analytics at BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York (HealthNow) after a three-year stint as the director of health care economics for the plan. At axialHealthcare, he will manage a combined team of reporting, data exchange, medical economics, analytics, and data science to advance the company’s enterprise strategy for capturing, analyzing, and leveraging data across the organization to drive solution design, financial performance, operational efficiencies, and member engagement.
“axialHealthcare is tackling one of the nation’s most pressing health challenges in a way that no other organization is– leveraging analytics and technology alongside human interaction to support patients across the full spectrum of substance use. This approach is innovative and driving real change for a population that has been notoriously underserved,” said Dunning. “It’s clear that the company is dedicated to ensuring patients with substance use issues get the care they deserve when they need it most, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team.”
