Few causes so perfectly align with axialHealthcare’s mission, so when we learned about the Davidson County Drug Court (DC4) Annual Holiday Party hosted for residents and their families, we jumped at the opportunity to participate.
Located in Nashville, TN, DC4 is the first court-operated residential addiction treatment program in the country. The program provides the opportunity for nonviolent felony offenders who would normally be sent to the Tennessee Department of Corrections to serve out their sentences the chance to access residential drug addiction treatment instead. Run by Judge Seth Norman, the program has successfully treated more than 1600 Tennesseans.
One of those Tennesseans is axialHealthcare Clinical Pharmacist Specialist Nancy Kemp. Now sober for more than four years and an active member of the Tennessee Pharmacist Recovery Network, Nancy is passionate about serving and advocating for people suffering or in recovery from addiction in both her professional and personal life.
Having participated as a resident in the DC4 annual holiday party while undergoing treatment, Nancy attends the party every year and is an advocate for this program that saved her life.

For the 2017 holiday party, axialHealthcare supplied food and beverages for lunch, as well as provided gifts for 38 children whose parents are in treatment. During the event, residents performed a special Scooby-Doo themed holiday play, a few carols were sung and Santa handed out the axialHealthcare provided presents to the children.
